Sierra Club and Beer in Albuquerque
We will be having our bi-monthly Sierra Club and Beer on June 12 at 6:30 pm at Mario's on 4th St.
Please join us to welcome Les Crowder as he talks about bees. Just as beekeeping has gotten more difficult due primarily to pesticides in beekeeping and agriculture the demographic of beekeepers is changing. Many new people, women and city dwellers are starting beekeeping. Things are changing fast and the need to eliminate toxins is becoming clear and loud. The 1,000 + hive beekeepers are diminishing and thousands of 2 hive beekeepers are filling classes and beekeeping association meetings all over the world. Beekeepers are trying to lead the way to a non toxic agriculture by discovering how to use biological controls rather than antibiotics and mitecides commonly used in beekeeping.
As usual, we'll be meeting for dinner (on you) at 6:30 and the first 25 attendees will receive a free drink ticket.
